Distribution of content also entails portable devices, i.e. USB Flash Drive
As a duplicator we get many different request(s) and manufactures are always on the look out for new markets. Supporting their VAR Channel Market first of course.
Microboards, Minneapolis, MN takes a page out of the NEC Sales Manual. Pricing and Availability April 2008. Create the demand prior to shipment and pre-sell everything. With the explosive use of USBs which at times can envy James Bond. MB looks to catapult themselves ahead in this potential market. But what about security of the data?
Welcome in IronKey, what I like is the companies path of
first standardizing your portable media, then secure it. Many CIOs get a rude awakening when they see 5 different types of portable media carrying a companies{or some case personal} information, knowing full well (2) of those units have only the protection of someones pocket.
2008 is the year of mobility, atleast for us. Wireless Virtual World is upon us. Hopefully in the coming months some core issues of mobile work force or working from "any location" can make great strides in the work place. Old school sometimes has this brick and mortor it just cannot shake. The real problem is the people, who can and who cannot.
Flash drives have attacted themselves. We have gone from transfering data between units, too online access. Truthfully I prefer online access, my dream situation:
Lake Winnebago, Wis - Western shore line, late May. Wife hunting her bluegil or perch while I look for Walleye. Notebook, Wireless, SmartPhone just off shore from a bar/grill that is actually a "Hot Spot" for more than
fish. Camera on the Notebook, SmartPhone, heck Camera is in the boat just haven't figured how to relay the signals and go live.

Support - Stamp out Piracy
Disc Duplication and Piracy - you'll notice the banner link we posted on our front page today, Stamp out Piracy. We support the awareness campaign headed by this new site. Piracy is something we all must take responsibility for and our business is in the front row, right behind the numerous sites that push the limits until their shut down.
YouTube.com announce they finally are putting up filters to address this. Mainly, too stop people from first posting rouge videos, than also find activity from hot connections that may be the culprit. Even TelCom companies are picking up the pace in monitoring downloads, Halo 3 kept a few busy.
By posting a link to LegalZoom.com people need to realize the first step in protecting your content is Copy Rights, without it all you can do complain. But it helps, when sources like YouTube.com finally start getting serious about addressing the issue or more to the point, start cleaning up their act for other projects down the road. Google is now a target, household name and industry leader that banks on advertisement dollars. An any good publishing business understands the simple facts, don't upset the flow the dollars. In the coming months we will see new innovations around digital downloads, not so much the technology as the actual sources. Sony is working on a Enterprise PS3 for music and Games. Can you picture every company lunch room with an arcade....
With piracy we must include DRM. Sites like Amazon.com have started offering DRM free selections. Granted to the purest quality does come into play, however the issue is "Fair Use". The concept of obtaining multi-licenses for the same purchased item so you can "rip" them to other appliances seems a bit unfair. DRM is just that Digital Rights too control the distribution. Let's be clear, "Fair Use" within a household does "NOT" mean the entire family tree 3 generations deep
We do encourage each of you to visit "Stamp Out Piracy" and show your support. In the long run it will only help all of us. We here will continue our own efforts by insuring clients sign a IPR form. Declaring they are the author of said content. An yes we do keep them on file and have in the past been requested to produce such documentation.
Disc Duplication is more than just making disc's. There is a responsibility.

Do you have copies of your medical records?
A growing series of developments within the
medical community is the digitization of records
Like all areas, changing from "paper" to digital
is something that's easier said than done. There
is not a office or clinic anyone can visit an
not see waves of file folders, indexed, numbered,
etc..
This article points out a number of advancements
that should, could and are possible. But where
it stops short is the actual interaction with the
patients.
Most are totally unaware that you can request and
receive a copy of your records. As pointed out,
some Medical centers even have the network set-up
for individual access.
Companies like Codonics have taken the
lead role in bringing technology to
all levels of radiology/diagnostic depts.
These units actually are just a step-up from
an ink-jet based duplicator. The opportunity
we see is supplying pre-labled medical grade
media. Cost savings on ink cartridges ($40
a crack), an less time processing should only
be seen as an advantage to growing centers.
If the centers are creating disc for referring
doctors, they should be able to provide you one.

Pro Pack - just a better solution for your CD/DVD Project
PRO Packour most popular project
Addressing the growing
cost of shipping or
distributing your project.
Unlike the jewel case, there
is nothing to break. More
cost effect than a clam-shell,
less total weight shipping, but more important no need of an
additional "Mailing" carton.
250pcs $525.00
Full color cardboard sleeve gives great presents to the
contents your delivering. Those of you heading on the
road shortly for seminars/trade shows needing to save
space should bring this option up to your marketing
dept. Never see them carry anything.
Yes, we do support a wide array of packaging
solutions. But always comes down to cost and
where you can get the most for your dollar with
out creating additional costs, which is always
overlooked.
Are approach here is find solutions, not just
taking requests.

Has does your duplicator answer questions??

Sometimes these conversations need to
be passed along...
Client:
What type of DVD will you be using? I normally use DVD-R
because they're more compatible with older DVD players.
Response:
As for playback compatibility I can tell you that all DVDs
are indeed digitally verified against the master DVD you
provided to us last week. As such the DVDs are an exact
digital match to your original DVD. If a particular player
has a problem with YOUR MASTER DVD, then yes the
DUPLICATED DVD (being an exact match) will behave
identically. If you want to assure yourself of 100% DVD
compatibility, then we would need a DLT master from
you (instead of the DVDR you supplied).
To be clear, you requested duplication of your supplied
master (which was a DVDR) and NO DVD-R media is
100% compatible in the marketplace! To make matters
worse, Recordable media can have mixed results during
playback depending on the particular drive, firmware
version, make and model.
Also you should know that YOUR SUPPLIED MASTER
does play fine in our newer systems here at DISCMASTERS,
but your DVD MASTER does NOT play fine in our Sony 7000
(Sony's old top of the line player)...but this is fairly typical for
DVDR masters, which is further evidenced by the fact that
the newer players worked fine with your Master. Obviously
your DVD Master did not break on the 7000 and then
magically fix itself on a different player, and the data on your
master must therefore be in tact, otherwise NONE would play!
Again, DVDR media is NOT 100% compatible, and neither
is your supplied master for duplication.
To put you at ease... I suggest you bring your DVD player
(the one you tested/mentioned) with you when you pick these
up I'd be happy to demonstrate that the DVD copies are
indeed an exact duplicate of your original DVD and play
accordingly.
